“Three Sisters” is a limited edition triptych designed by the prolific artist, Luke Martin. It was created in 2023 for the Dave Matthews Band’s 3-night stint at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, WA. Taking inspiration from DMB’s music, tarot, and mythology, Martin created several variants of his design – this one features the sisters’ names. In October 2018, writer Gina Tomaine penned an essay for Philadelphia magazine about the local popularity of tarot reading and astrology. Art director Alyse Moyer hired local illustrator James Boyle to design three Philadelphia-themed tarot cards. After the article was published, an overwhelmingly positive response spurred the creation of a full deck!
