Picture Framing and Art Restoration in the Philadelphia Area

In June of 2013, Jeremy Sustare, a 25 year veteran of the framing industry, opened “Custom Picture Framer of Glenside” in the quaint and historic Keswick Village section of Glenside, PA. Over his career, he has honed his techniques and sharpened his skills giving him and his team the ability to create visually stunning framing packages while utilizing sound preservation practices. Jeremy has worked with thousands of clients and hundreds of Designers and Decorators. He has framed for art institutions like The Barnes Foundation, PAFA and Philagrafika. Whatever your project, he can be trusted to handle any type of art correctly.

What kind of framing project will YOU bring to Custom Picture Framer of Glenside? Do you have a two dimensional piece? We’ll expertly frame photography, works on paper, canvases and documents. How about a three dimensional item? With precise archival mounting techniques, we will creatively display sports jerseys, Christening dresses, memorabilia, tiles and plates. What about designer pieces? We can provide you with custom framed mirrors, dry erase boards and corkboards. Do you have a highly technical project? We’ll do encapsulation for delicate items, Japanese paper backing for deteriorating ephemera, hand-wrapped fabric mats, flawless fillets, old school French lines and panels, and out of this world shadowboxes. There are aspects of framing that we don’t handle so, for your convenience, we have a paper conservator, a painting conservator and a delivery/installation team on call.

Having dealt with nearly every frame and supply manufacturer, we have cherry-picked what we feel to be the best out there. Our moulding lines include Roma, Larson-Juhl, APF-Munn, Bella, and Studio. You’ll find mats by Bainbridge, Crescent and Rising as well as our own custom fabric wraps. We offer the top glazing options such as museum glass, conservation glass and anti-reflective acrylic. What won’t you find? We don’t carry Formica mouldings, “plastic wood”, gesso painted to look like wood, regular (acidic) mats, and we have very little regular (non-UV) glass.

All of our framing is done in-house, and most orders can be completed in two weeks or less. We do have a “rush” service for those clients who just can’t wait, and same day framing is available when you select from our line of stock moulding and mats. Discounts are offered to qualified designers, decorators, galleries and artists. Why leave your treasured artwork and keepsakes in inexperienced hands? We’ll give you a no-obligation quote, and tell you exactly how your project will be handled.
