In October 2018, writer Gina Tomaine penned an essay for Philadelphia magazine about the local popularity of tarot reading and astrology. Art director Alyse Moyer hired local illustrator James Boyle to design three Philadelphia-themed tarot cards. After the article was published, an overwhelmingly positive response spurred the creation of a full deck! This illustration for the “Moon” card shows the picturesque Philadelphia City Hall, and is archivally presented in a glossy blue moulding from Omega’s “Prism” collection and Tru Vue Museum glass.
