Platform tennis originated in Scarsdale, New York in 1928 as a way for neighbors to enjoy a winter racquet sport close to home. Today, the sport is played year-round and is one of the fastest growing racquet sports! Here we have displayed a Men’s American Platform Tennis Association (MAPTA) pennon from the Division I Tournament in 2017. The pennon was hand-sewn to Bainbridge matboard and presented in a navy blue profile from Studio Moulding’s “Poems” collection, and TruVue Premium glazing.
