Mont Saint-Michel, the subject of this 1882 etching by Swedish artist Axel Herman Haig (1835-1921), is a tidal island and mainland commune in Normandy, France, off the north-western coast. Haig’s etchings, illustrations, and architectural drawings were sweeping, grand, and majestic, and this piece is no exception! We archivally presented this original large format print in a gold antique moulding from Studio’s “Luisant” collection, tan Bainbridge matting with hand-painted gold bevel, and Tru Vue 99% UV protective acrylic glazing.
