Mark Rothko (1903-1970) was an American abstract painter who was best known for his color field paintings. The Fondation Louis Vuitton presented a retrospective of Rothko’s work in France (October, 2023 – April, 2024), which was the first show to trace the artist’s entire career since the 1999 exhibition held at the Musee d’Art Moderne!
