John James Audubon (1785-1851) was a self-taught artist, naturalist, and ornithologist, best known as America’s leading wildlife artist and the namesake of the renowned Audubon Society. This chromolithograph shows a pair of mischievous black squirrels – archivally presented in a gilded Italian moulding from Roma’s “Eleganza” collection, matting from Crescent, gold fillet from Larson Juhl’s “Senelar” collection, and Tru Vue Conservation Clear glass.
