J.D. Roybal (1922-1978) was an important Tewa artist, from San Ildefonso, NM. He worked primarily in watercolors and clay, and became famous for his renditions of the sacred Pueblo clowns known as Koshares or Koosa. We archivally presented “Deer Dancer” in a natural wood profile from Larson-Juhl’s “Finn” collection, Artique (Larson Juhl) matting with a painted bevel, Kool Tack archival mounting, and TruVue 99% UV filtering and anti-reflective “Museum” glazing.
