Gyotaku (pronounced GHEE-OH-TAH-KOO) is the art and technique of Japanese Fish Printing. The earliest known gyotaku were made in the 1860’s to preserve a true record of the size and species of fish caught by Japanese anglers. We presented “Blue Gill” by artist Michael Reimer (That Fish Guy) in a distressed charcoal toned wood profile from Roma’s “Savoir” collection and TruVue 99% UV filtering and anti-reflective “Museum” glazing.
