This is a signed and numbered limited edition print from an original watercolor by Howard N Watson (1929-2022) which depicts an iconic view of Philadelphia’s Boathouse Row in wintertime. Watson was a celebrated African-American watercolorist, illustrator, landscape artist, and teacher. Known for his impressionistic style, he often depicted the historical buildings, neighborhoods, streets, and landmarks of the Philadelphia region. “Mt. Hood Ski Bowl, Oregon” by watercolor artist James Niehues (b. 1946) is a striking areal view of the Mt. Hood ski trail network. Niehues painted his first map in 1988, and has created over 350 different areal views to date! His style employs strategical distortions to represent expansive vistas without the viewer detecting the altered perspective.
