Stuart M Egnal (1940 – 1966) was a Philadelphia-based artist. He attended UArts for his BFA and then UPenn for his masters, with a gap year painting in Italy. Two years into his studies at UPenn, Egnal was diagnosed with cancer, prompting him to return home, where he continued to paint for the next year and a half until his death at the age of 26. We’ve presented this original painting on panel in an antique silver flat cap profile from Studio Moulding with Volara rabbet lining to protect the art.

Established over a decade ago, the Penn Lightbulb Café is an informal weekly get together where guests and expert faculty shed light on their research in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. Here’s the handbill for one of these events our customer was involved with! We’ve displayed both sides of the invite as raised float mounts in a shadowbox made up of a walnut toned wood profile from Studio Moulding, Decor Moulding gold enhancer, Artique (Larson Juhl) mat and anti reflective “UltraVue” glazing from TruVue.
