This five color lithograph by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864 – 1901) is one of the most famous and iconic posters of its era. Aristide Bruant was both a revered and incendiary stage performer known for his rich baritone voice and crowd insulting antics. In 1892, Bruant commissioned the creation of this poster for a concert he was putting on at the Parisienne performance hall in Paris.
