Loretta Pettway (b. 1942) is an American artist and quilt maker of the Gee’s Bend Collective from Boykin, Alabama. Her quilts are known for their bold and improvisational style. Here is a poster depicting her 1975 “Bricklayer” quilt from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts collection.
