“Mt. Hood Ski Bowl, Oregon” by watercolor artist James Niehues (b. 1946) is a striking areal view of the Mt. Hood ski trail network. Niehues painted his first map in 1988, and has created over 350 different areal views to date! His style employs strategical distortions to represent expansive vistas without the viewer detecting the altered perspective. We’ve presented this piece in a matte white wood profile from Larson Juhl, Crescent Brands matting, and TruVue “Premium Clear” glass.
