Existing now for nearly a century, the MacSwiney Club of Jenkintown, PA was named in honor of Terence MacSwiney (1879 – 1920), Irish patriot, statesman, and martyr. This vintage 78 RPM record holds a Speech given by Éamon De Valera (President – Republic of Ireland) eulogizing MacSwiney, who died after a hunger strike in Brixton Prison, London.
