The founder of the Montevideo Engraving Club, she participated in salons and exhibitions across Latin America and beyond. González also excelled in woodcut, a technique which she taught throughout her career. Her art is largely figurative, often capturing everyday life in individual pieces or larger collections. Born in Montevideo in 1923, Vilaró’s journey began as a printing apprentice and Buenos Aires, and he grew and evolved to become one of Uruguay’s most influential artistic voices.
