For comic book fans, the “holy grail” of collecting is to own an original signed piece by your favorite artist. From December of 2012, we have a working panel page displayed with the final printing as drawn by Ryan Ottley from Invincible #98. Written and illustrated by Al Capp (1909 – 1979), Li’l Abner was a satirical American comic strip that appeared in newspapers across the globe from 1934 – 1977. “Slobbovia” was a fictitious kingdom loosely based on Russian Siberia, with the strip speaking to the political climate of the late 1940’s. Here we have an original Capp pen and ink map of “Slobbovia” displayed as a float mount in a matte black wood profile from Studio Moulding, Crescent matting and TruVue anti reflective + 99% UV filtering “Museum” glass. by Custom Picture Framer | Jun 25, 2025 | Featured, Sample Gallery | 0 comments
