“Self-portrait with Peacock Waistcoat, Standing” is a 1911 gouache, watercolor, and black crayon portrait by the Austrian artist Egon Schiele (1890 – 1918). Schiele was a prolific artist with a distinctive style, using angular, twisted body shapes and expressive lines to render his portraiture. We’ve archivally displayed this reprint in a metallic green wood profile from Roma Moulding, Bainbridge mat with hand painted bevel, and TruVue 99% UV filtering and anti-reflective “Museum” glass.

Alphons Leopold Mielich (1863-1929) was an accomplished Austrian artist, best known for his paintings of orientalist scenes. This original gouache on board shows off his masterful skill at capturing classic, iconic vistas. We archivally presented the work in an antique gold moulding from Studio’s “Virtu” collection, gold fillet from Larson Juhl’s “Academie” collection, Crescent linen matting, and Tru Vue Museum glass.
