This is a giclee print from an original 1888 painting entitled “The Convalescent” by Finnish painter Helene Schjerfbeck. She completed this piece while residing in St Ives, Cornwall in Britain, and it soon thereafter earned her a bronze medal at the 1889 Paris World Fair!
