We’d like to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July and 250th anniversary of the United States! In honor of this historical moment, here is a recently framed piece from our archives. This is an original three dollar bill issued in 1776 under the authority of the Continental Congress. Minted during the American Revolution, it bears the image of an eagle attacking a crane underneath the Latin motto “EXITUS IN DUBIO EST” (The Outcome is in Doubt). However, what’s not in doubt is our hope that you have a happy and safe day of good food, family, friends, and fireworks! by Eliot C | Jul 4, 2026 | Featured, Sample Gallery | 0 comments
Don’t play with matches! Captain Starn’s was a landmark Atlantic City restaurant and bar that was active from 1940 – 1979. Most of the restaurant was built overhanging the Atlantic Ocean … watch the boats sail by and enjoy your meal! It also featured a gift shop, wishing well, aquarium, and a dock hosting sightseeing tours. Our client brought in these vintage commemorative custom matchbooks from the restaurant featuring photos of her parents. We archivally presented them in a shallow matte black shadowbox from Studio Moulding with Bainbridge matting and Tru Vue Museum glass. by Custom Picture Framer | Jul 4, 2024 | Featured, Sample Gallery | 0 comments
