This rich and symbolic style expresses the history, beliefs, and social structures of the indigenous Haida people who have called the Pacific Northwest region of North America “home” for millennia. This art is characterized by its use of “formline,” a highly structured system of design that utilizes flowing lines and geometric shapes to depict animals, mythical beings, and ancestral stories. We archivally presented “Haida Beaver,” a signed print by Bill Reid (1920 – 1998), in a matte black wood profile from Studio Moulding, Crescent matting, and TruVue 99% UV filtering “Conservation” glazing.
