Our client’s grandma has a tradition of creating a needlepoint piece for each of her grandchildren when they get married. We absolutely LOVE the bold colors and fine detailing in this one celebrating her granddaughter and her husband’s elopement on the beach! Tammis Keefe (1913-1960) was a prolific textile designer who created colorful and eye-catching designs for tea towels and handkerchiefs. This particular one is signed as “Peg Thomas,” which was a way for retailers to sell her work when others had exclusive rights to her signed “Tammis Keefe” designs.
