“A Pleasure Yacht” by W.J. Huggins
$830.00
William Huggins, one of the best English marine artists of the 19th century, served for several years at sea in the service of the East India Company. On his return to London, he used his intimate knowledge of sailing vessels to gain regular employment painting carefully detailed ship portraits. Huggins ship paintings were carefully scribed, and “A Pleasure Yacht” is a superb example of marine printmaking c.1850. You may not own a yacht, but you can still “own a yacht!”
