Our customer discovered this original “Mother and Daughter” painting her Mom had done decades ago. Yes, paintings can be conserved to bond and fill losses, but the costs can be prohibitive. In this case, we accepted the extensive paint flaking as part of the nature of the art. Out of the closet, unrolled, restretched and presented in a rustic barnwood moulding from Furst Bros’ “Amador” collection with a gold leaf fillet from Larson Juhl’s “Olmstead” collection … and once again, a cherished work!
