Édouard Traviès de Villers (1809 – 1876) was a French natural history artist known for his exquisite renderings of birds. His illustrations are represented in the “Dictionnaire Universel d’Histoire Naturelle,” which is considered to be one of the finest encyclopedias of the nineteenth century! We presented “Pavonine Quetzal” in a black wood profile from Larson-Juhl’s “Finn” collection, Crescent “Brite-Core” matting, and TruVue anti-reflective “UltraVue” glazing.
