Blue jays are a common North American songbird with brightly colored blue, white, and black plumage, and are intelligent social songsters! They are more than just singers though, they are adept at mimicking the calls of hawks and other birds of prey, in order to provide warnings to their flock, or tricking other species into believing a hawk is nearby. We archivally presented this watercolor “Blue Jay” in a rustic grey profile from Frametastic, Crescent matting, and TruVue 99% UV filtering and anti-reflective “Museum” glazing.
